The dates give this smoothie its sweetness. The frozen fruit gives it body without having to add ice.
4-5 pitted dates*
1 banana
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
2 cups frozen diced mixed fruit
1/2 cup almond milk
Blend all ingredients in a blender or smoothie maker until smooth. Pour into a small glass and enjoy. I like to fold in some chopped fresh fruit to add some texture.
*you could substitute walnuts for the dates, but the result is not as sweet and a bit grainy.
