For those times when you just gotta have some chocolate.
4-5 pitted dates
2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 frozen banana
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup almond milk or unsweetened fruit juice
Some ice cubes
Blend all ingredients in a blender or smoothie maker until smooth. Pour into a tall glass and fold in chopped walnuts or fresh strawberries if desired. I like the texture it adds.
