“Popeye’s” Biscuits

Norma Young gave me this recipe many years ago. They really do cook up just like the biscuits you buy from Popeye’s.

4 cups Pioneer Baking Mix 1 cup 7-Up
1 cup sour cream flour

In a large bowl, mix together Pioneer baking mix, sour cream, and 7-Up. It will form soft dough. Turn out onto a floured surface and roll out to about ¼ inch thickness. You want them to be sort of thick. With a biscuit cutter, cut into rounds and place on a parchment-paper covered baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and brush with melted butter.
