Bubba Bread

1 loaf crusty French or Italian bread, split lengthwise
1 stick butter, softened ½ cup jalapenos, fresh or pickled, sliced
4-5 mushrooms, sliced 1 cup Mexican style shredded cheese
½ large purple onion, sliced ½ bottle Italian dressing
1 large bell pepper, sliced

Place split bread loaf on heavy duty aluminum foil. Butter both sides of the bread loaf and layer mushrooms, onion, bell and jalapeno peppers and cheese on one side of the bread. Sprinkle dressing over all, place other half of bread on top and seal tightly with foil. Place on a baking sheet and cook in 350 degree oven or place on a hot grill for 30-45 minutes. Unwrap, slice and serve.

**You can also add cold cuts such as pepperoni, salami, ham, turkey, etc.
